Autism spectrum disorder affects about 1 in 59 children in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The prevalence of ASD in U.S. children more than doubled from 2000 to 2010. The disorder knows no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
Across the United States, organizations strive to support individuals and families living with ASD. The Autism Support Alliance is being launched to assist these organizations, initially by providing access to the U.S. government’s Combined Federal Campaign. We are proud to be the first CFC federation working specifically and exclusively with ASD focused charities.
